Who handles your data
KinoAtlas is a private project. The owner’s contact name is Leo D, Kazakhstan. For data and service questions: nocodenomad@gmail.com.
What we receive
Sign-in information: your email, account identifier, sign-in method, and name. Google provides some of this information when you sign in with Google. Firebase Authentication handles passwords; passwords are not stored in the KinoAtlas collection database.
You may add a last name and avatar. We store your ratings, imported entries, watchlists, privacy preferences, reviews, comments, reactions, and friend connections. We also store your profile creation date, import history, and a record of document acceptance.
Infrastructure providers may process your IP address, browser information, and technical logs to run and protect the service. Import files are read in your browser; selected entries are sent to the server.
Why we use it
To sign you in, save and import your collection, calculate statistics, suggest titles, show your profile to your selected audience, and support community features. Your email is used for verification, password recovery, and replies to your requests. Other members cannot see your email.
What other people can see
A new account’s first name and ratings are visible to other KinoAtlas members by default. Last names and avatars are private by default. For ratings, your last name, and your avatar, Profile & privacy lets you choose access for all members, friends, or only yourself.
Review access follows the author’s collection visibility. Comments and reactions appear in the relevant discussions. Your unrated Already watched list is private.
Services involved
This test copy runs on a Serverspace server in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Its profiles, collections and avatars are stored separately from the main KinoAtlas site. Google/Firebase provides sign-in and account emails. Google’s documentation states that Firebase Authentication processes data in the United States. Other providers may also process data outside Kazakhstan.
External catalogs, including IMDb, TMDB, and TVmaze, supply film information and images. Image providers receive ordinary technical request information when your browser loads an external image. This page describes the current architecture; it does not state that data is stored exclusively in Kazakhstan.
Storage and your requests
Profile and collection information is retained to run your account. To request a copy, correct information, withdraw consent, or delete your account, email the contact address from the email linked to your account. Requests are handled manually; we may ask you to confirm account ownership. Do not send your password.
Deletion requests cover application data and the sign-in account. Providers may retain some technical logs or backup copies under their policies or legal obligations. Contact us for information about those retention periods and data categories.
Consent at registration
At registration, you separately accept the Terms of Use and consent to the collection, storage, and use described here to provide KinoAtlas, including transfer to the listed providers outside Kazakhstan.
Consent applies to these purposes until withdrawn or until processing ends under applicable law. You can withdraw it by email. Running an account requires processing sign-in and collection data, so withdrawal requires discussing account closure. We record the document version, confirmation time, and language to document your choice.
Changes
The date and version appear at the top of this page. If processing purposes or data categories change materially, we will notify you and request fresh consent where required.
